"Never delay kissing a pretty girl or opening a bottle of whiskey."

- Ernest Hemingway

I chose this weeks quote because I just put it in a screen play I am currently writing.

Snippet from the screenplay:

"As Hemingway would say, Never delay kissing a pretty girl or opening a bottle of whiskey. Now I never would trust a man who wouldn't agree with that, but then again I wouldn't...."

Hemingway was such a great writer. I can't imagine what it would be like to sit down and bullshit with Hemingway over a bourbon. He was such an interesting writer. I have been reading a lot of his work lately. It gives such a spark of creativity on a current project I am working on.

That should be this weeks Twitter question.

"If you could sit down and have a bourbon with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?"

My shop Cut & Scratch has been doing great in it's new location. Barbers are booked out and the coffee is flowing! Working on building up the record selection now. Kicking around the idea of some used vinyl. Right now I am just offering new vinyl. It's been amazing watching this business grow every week.

Today I released a James Hetfield canvas print to benefit Best Friends Animal Society! We have raised over seventeen thousand so far with this project!

This week I am getting ready to head out to Australia with Rise Against. We head out for the month of February. I have never been yet so I am stoked to see this amazing place. Once I get back I go into movie mode and start filming a project. I can't wait for the world to see this madness.

As far as NDR Records, The Boxmasters and Orange Blossom Special are both in the studio and will be releasing albums this year.

Thank you for taking the time to read to newsletter. As my grandmother would say...
