On the road... Pittsburgh, PA

09/16/2011 - Holy shit I'm on tour...

​Flew in to Pittsburg, PA to join the 2011 Uproar Tour with Avenged Sevenfold. Been working up to this moment for two years! Felt amazing being handed that All Access pass for the first time ever. Show was great and life is so surreal out here. Hopefully I don't fuck it up. On the bus headed to Noblesville, IN for the show tomorrow. As far as food, when I landed I was told to check out Primanti Bros. So I did and couldn't believe it, they put the french fries on the inside of the Pastrami and Cheese and it's beyond yummy!

UPDATED ENTRY:
02/17/25 - It's surreal and so cool to be going back through my tour diaries reliving all the moments on the road. I remember snapping that photo of Johnny and Travis from Art of Dying that's in this photo gallery and thinking I had channeled my inner Jim Marshall and captured a timeless rock n roll moment. Almost fifteen years later I can look at the photo and remember it like it was today, so I guess I did make it timeless, at least for me. The other thing I remember is discovering that sandwich. My diet has changed a bit since then, but to be honest, whenever I am in Philly I think about how that Primanti Bros Pastrami and Cheese made me one happy kid to kick off my crazy life on the road.
