Had our bi-weekly bourbon meeting at the shop tonight. It's a great way to bounce ideas off each other about the future of the shop, plus the bourbon really helps the creative process! Already looking forward to the next one.
Crazy busy day, but happy because we were able to get the hay delivery with no bullshit. Mother Nature has been kicking our butts all week, but today eased up. Always an adventure out here on the ranch.
Moved a boat load of snow around to get ready for the hay delivery in the morning. (If Mother Nature allows it.) The poor tractor got a workout today. Soon as all this snow melts it's going to be a shitty muddy mess out here.
Lost our sweet girl Petunia this morning. She was a tough old pig, and so fucking sweet. Days like today are the hardest part of this place. Thankfully she went peaceful in her sleep snuggled up next to her soul mate Rupert. Worried how he's going to do without her.
Two days into the new year, so far so good! I promised myself I wouldn't repeat the bullshit known as 2022. So far I've kept that promise.
Spent a lazy lazy day for the first day of the year. Looking forward to the new year, and thankful to be done with 2022.
Fuck yeah 2022 is almost out the door!!! I am so over it and excited to welcome 2023 in.
A year ago today we bought our truck Bessy. 25K miles put on her in a year, and many more to go. So glad we got her.
I haven't been to the shop all week since Snow White hasn't had to go into the radio station being on vacation, but it's freed up time to work on the ranch. Just wish it wasn't in this crazy weather! I must be insane owning a ranch in the winter.
Woke up to a blanket of snow on the ranch. Just got lost in the beauty this morning out on the bedroom deck with my coffee. More mornings like that are always welcome. Then spent the rest of the day plowing snow so we could semi function out here. Sing and fucking yang!
