October 4, 2011 - West Valley City, UT - Back in Utah! Kim bought up Pamalatera to the show with Flint and Olivia. It was so cool to show my kid the bus and have her meet the bands and crew of the tour. I'm so proud and lucky to be her dad. It truly is my favorite job. She stayed right up until bus call, so I was able to hang out with her after the show. Sevendust returned to the tour today and tore up the crowd from their first note until the end when Morgan Superman dive into the crowd.
October 3, 2011 - Bosie, ID - Great day off today. A bunch of us went to a bar by the Knitting Factory and let loose! They even had a non alcoholic beer that tasted like Guinness. I haven't had a drink in six years but I love the taste of Guinness. The band Insane Clown Posse was playing at the Knitting Factory, and when it was over chaos poured out into the street. Great people watching experience. Their fans are hard core and were covered in the Fago. Headed out to Utah now. Can't wait to see my kid!
October 2, 2011 - Spokane, WA - It was a rainy one today, but that didn't stop the fans from losing their minds at the show. I helped Strati shoot a Black Tide music video featuring Bullet For My Valentine's lead singer Matt Tuck. My job was to grab a bunch of rapid stills of the crowd and band. Looking forward to seeing what he does with all the content. Today was the last show with Fuzzy on the bill. They jumped on in Canada and took Sevendust's slot. Lajon and the boys are back at our next gig in Utah. Excited to have my kid see this madness in a couple days.
October 1, 2011 - Auburn, WA - What a fun night! A7X suprise was Synyster and Johnny wearing October Fest outfits on stage. M. Shadows let the crowd know this is what happens when they watch the movie "Beerfest" to much on the bus. Love touring with these guys. Also got to see Cheryl Valentine from Epic Records today. Love her!!! I've known her since 1997 back in my radio days as Discharge on KBER 101.
September 30, 2011 - Seattle, WA - Flew into Seattle today and met up with Strati, Reese, Oaks and Clarence for dinner. After dinner Oaks and I went to a bar to see the band Orange Blossom Special. They are on the tour as the house band for the tour. Fun time watching them. After that Oaks and I met up with the guys in A7X. They have another crazy idea for tomorrow's show but wouldn't say what. Looking forward to seeing what it is.
September 26, 2011 - Payson, UT - Well the tour rolls on without me. Since I don't have a passport and the next two shows are in Canada I flew home today to hangout with Pamalatera for a few days and then will meet back up with the tour in Seattle. While I'm home I'll apply for a passport so I don't have to worry about it in the future.
Spetember 25, 2011 - St. Louis, MO - Tonight's show was massive! It had to be sold out. Went to the back to get a crowd shot and couldn't believe all the proper losing their mind. St. Louis loves their rock n roll. I have been trying to shoot more behind the scenes photos of the band and crew. As much as I love to shoot the shows I'm really diggin on the candid shots I've been getting out here.
September 24, 2011 - Kansas City, MO - The crowds showing up for these shows are insane. The Ernie Ball festival stage has Sevendust closing out every show and the crowd looks like a hurricane of people from start to finish for their set. Today on the main stage Craig Mabbitt of Escape the Fate brought his daughter on stage with him and I was able to capture that special moment. I love that photography can capture a moment and turn it into a timeless memory.
September 23, 2011 - Council Bluffs, IA - Sick Puppies joined the line up for todays show. It was my first time seeing them live. Tons of energy out of them. At the end of the show, John Oaks the promoter said it's time to go count the shoes. I'm wondering what the hell he's talking about so I went with him. We get to the empty pit and there are about forty shoes lying around. He said every time I do a show here there's always shoes from the crowd surfers. The crowd was crazy and some of them are now missing a shoe. As our bus was pulling out to leave this drunk girl open the door and jumped aboard. She asked our driver Colman to drop her off at the other parking lot. Colman politely responds, "Does this look like a fucking taxi?" She got off the bus and we are now headed to Sandstone Amphitheater in Kansas City for the next adventure.
September 22, 2011 - Whereabouts Unknown - Spent most of the day going through photos and drinking way to many Rockstar Lemonade drinks. I can't feel my face and not sure what city we are in. I guess I better figure it out before the day is done.
