I was asked to shoot Grace Potter in SLC by the promoter of the show. I'd never heard of her and really didn't feel like shooting that night because I wanted to get to Denver to shoot the Mayhem Festival the next day. I got to the venue and told Kim to keep the truck running because I was only shooting one song then we were headed out on the road to Denver. Grace hit the stage and my jaw hit the floor. From the first note to the last, Grace commanded the stage like nothing I had ever seen before. I am so glad I didn't bail on the show tonight. I can't wait to see this amazing talent live again. I do feel a little bad making Kim wait outside in the truck for the entire show.

Love this story. Grace isn't, well at least wasn't at the time I first heard her, my normal cup of music genre tea, but like you Rob as soon as I heard the power and emotion in that whiskey and honey voice I was instantly entranced and have loved her music ever since. Still waiting for the day I can experience that power and passion live.
